Some trips evolve. Our good friends Charlie and Polly started this one when they found three Elderhostels in a row in Maine. One was about digital photography, another baked bread in home made ovens, and the third focused on the culinary wonders of Maine. We weren't into baking bread, but the other two sounded like fun and we invited ourselves on their vacation. We decided to travel together in the motor home, which may make finding a spot where we can camp and they can hotel on the trip out and back a challenge. After we made our final payments, Elderhostel cancelled the culinary workshop, leaving us casting about for a reasonable substitute that we all could enjoy. So now the itinerary includes an Elderhostel in New York which will have us sipping wine and enjoying art glass in Corning. We've been friends for 35 years; hopefully we will still love another even more after this journey!
