Staycation - late Summer 2009

Technically a Staycation means that you stay home, but as lifetime residents of the Midwest, we tend to take our area of the country for granted and are always driving though those corn fields as quickly as possible to head to more interesting and picturesque territory. After seeing much of the world we return to the Midwest with a renewed appreciation for its simplicity and stereotypical Americana. This trip started out as one week in Green Lake, WI working on our golf skills. But once the Labor Day weekend ended and all the families headed back to work and school, we felt free to mosey. This is one of the least planned trips we've ever made. Wonder where we'll end up. It feels great to throw that calendar out the window and follow your nose.
