Through Foreign Eyes - Spring/Summer 2009

In 1980 we took a group of high school students to Germany. That trip started a travel tradition that we would enjoy for twelve more years and lead to a lifelong friendship. Our teacher friend Hartmut and his wife Marieluise hosted us that summer and many more. They took us on trips to Austria and Italy and made us feel part of the family. Sadly, Marieluise is no longer with us, but we are finally getting the opportunity to reciprocate as we take Hartmut on a national park tour. We will be visiting places we haven't seen ourselves since the 1970's. Wilkommen Hartmut!
