The world renowned Western Spirit Balloon. Larger-than-life Cowboys thunder down the hill astride their horses, recalling the very spirit that forged the American Frontier. The balloon, reminiscent of a Remington mural, has over 2,000 hours of painting. The figures of eight Cowboys, which stand almost 40 feet high, were produced completely by hand using airbrushing and dyes to create the images, which cover more than 3/4's of the balloon's 18,000 foot surface. The "Western Spirit" Balloon is in a special class known as Art Balloons and flies internationally and in the USA.
The Western Spirit Balloon Team consists of Colorado residents Jon T. Seay, Sr., Pilot and Owner; Robin Heppler, Crew Chief; Al and Marty Danner and Shannon Tracy, all flight crew.

The first 2013 balloon event for the Western Spirit Balloon Team was in Chateau d'Oex, Switzerland January 26 - February 3. Our Team consisted of Jon Seay, Pilot; Robin Heppler, Crew Chief; Al Danner, all of Colorado and Barbara Gant from Phoenix. Our 2nd pilot will be Patrick Carter and his family Gina Bamberger, Crew Chief; Mary Jo Carter, Master Crew Chief; Silas Carter, and Eske Carter as flight crew (all from Colorado). As always, we have an excellent support team of Marty Danner, Mary Jo Schutte; Tracy and Joyce Crabill who help "state side" and make our trips possible. (Thanks, guys! We could not do it without you!)

For our first US balloon event we will fly Big Top in Walla Walla, WA. Jon and Robin will be joined by Craig Hansen (Phoenix), Craig and Jeannie Klatka (Denver) and Mick Vale (Spokane). We fly Fri., Sat., and Sun. Granddaughter Cassie and husband Drew Boston (with wonderful GGD Peyton) will hopefully join us on Saturday.

Best regards from the Western Spirit Balloon Team
