Mui Ne was a very beautiful place, it was pretty much a strip of bars and hotels along the coast, a couples of miles long. ... Xin chao (hello), well today we were up and out at 8am, for our 6 hour bus journey to Mui Ne Beach. ... We needed to sort our bus out of Mui Ne for the following day and trekked a mile up the road, in the heat to a travel agents (only to find out on our return that our hotel did the same bloody thing). ... We eventually got out of the guesthouse and hired some mountain bikes to get to the famous sand dunes about 8km from Mui Ne. ... One of the towns close by to Mui Ne is famous for the rather pungent fish sauce that one smells on most Vietnamese streets where the street stalls park themselves. ... Pretty cold this morning. One puncture and much sign language later, I arrived in Mui Ne, a great beach resort about 200km north from Sai Gon. ... Their arrival back will be a boon for Kilkenny pub sales, not least Syd Harkins! Mui Ne is a relatively upmarket beach resort with 12 km of sand and is famous mostly for watersports. ...
