Mekong Delta We took a two day - one night excursion from Saigon to visit the Mekong Delta. After a few hours on the horrible roads, we finally made it to our boat on the river, but of course, it was storming terribly, so we had to wait it out for a few minutes. Eventually we made it onto our wooden boats and were on our way to explore the various industries of the Mekong Delta--rice paper-making, thatch roof making, tofu making, tile making, coffin making, brick making, coconut candy making, and of course, the bonzai gardens. (click 'show all 9' to display all photos and double click photo to see a bigger version) We travelled from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh by taking a two day Mekong Delta trip - my last chance (on this trip) to experience the Mighty Mekong.
