Jun 11, 2013 - South Carolina
As we contnued up the east coast we contemplated where next. We tend to follow the philosophy of one of our favorite travel people, Anthony Bourdain "No Reservations". In that light, we may or may not know where we are headed next. This was no exception. We decided to stop in Charleston. We camped about 20 minutes outside of town, a town with lots of outlying traffic repairs, thus congestion. I must admit the wait was worth it. This town is has a huge waterfront which of course is where we tend to migrate. Still in progress...

May 29, 2013 - Linda (My Blind Friend)
Today I had an enjoyable visit with my friend from where I use to work. Her name is Linda and she is blind. She has a seeing eye dog named Teddy. We had a great lunch of Chinese Food. One of my very favorite flowering plants is the Azaleas. When driving over to Linda's when I made the turn to her street I saw this house with the most beautiful Azaleas in their yard. I said I am going to have to take a picture of that yard before going into Linda's house. Well low and behold my GPS said you have arrived and I was parked right in front of...

May 18, 2013 - Andersonville & Edisto Beach
We made it to Andersonville, Georgia. Wow all those graves. It's hard to believe how many died in the prison camp. 1,848 men from Pennsylvania died there. The prison camps in the north weren't much better. Now we have moved east to Edisto Beach State Park. It's located just north of Savanna, Georgia in southern South Carolina. We got up early in the morning to gather some sea shells. It was great. Now we have moved north to Myrtle Beach. Thanks to everyone that followed our journey. I hope you liked the pictures. And especially thanks to...

May 18, 2013 - Here we are !!!
This week we moved to the KOA Campground in Albuquerque and plan to spend a month here to finish up our appointments and such before heading out to unknown places. We sure miss the spaciousness of the COE parks and the NM State Parks but we are here for the convenience and not the fondness of being packed in like sardines. - The temps here the past week have been pleasant with it being in the 80's every day. With low humidity it's nice. The swimming pool just opened yesterday and I checked out the water temp and I think I will wait a few...

May 17, 2013 - On The Road Again...
We have made a lot of changes for 2013. We are no longer “full-time” RVers. We began this journey with a 5 year goal of full-time RVing and 2013 marked the 5th year!!! We are in the process of converting everything to our California address. We still plan to RV several months out of the year but we will be using CA as our place of residence. This allows us to “technically” stay in CA for over 6 months of the year. Returning to CA does have its serious pitfalls…we had to register our motorhome, Jeep and Dodge truck and notify our insurance...

May 17, 2013 - Duct Tape
We are now in Lewistown, Montana which is considered the geographical center of Montana. It is also the county seat and largest city in the county (population 5,000). When I saw the billboard and signs as we entered the city, I knew I would have to break out the duct tape to apply to Art’s mouth. Some of the signs were: “Welcome to Lewistown from the Republican Tea Party;” “No God, No Peace; Know God, Know Peace.” “Abortion stops a beating heart.” “Sierra Club Sucks.” Aren’t those signs welcoming? At least we didn’t see the Ten Commandments...

May 17, 2013 - Overnight In Tucumcari
From KOA Kampground – Tucumcari NM Good thing we gained an hour entering Mountain Time today as it was one of our longer mileage moves……….296 miles. We have always criticized the LONG boring trip across Texas on I-10, but think we met her sister today traveling US 54 through Oklahoma panhandle, a few miles into Texas through Dalhart and then into New Mexico where this highway ends in Tucumcari………..a very long, boring drive with very few communities to even break the dry, dusty desert landscape. Guess you must have to be prepared for boredom...

May 17, 2013 - Indianapolis St-Louis

May 17, 2013 - Hello Great Falls
Thurs & Fri 5/16-17 We had a long but scenic drive over red roads (Routes 200, 87, 89) to Great Falls on Wednesday. The scenery around the Lewistown area near the Belt Mountains in the Judith Basin was particularly nice. We had to take a 30 mile detour off the road in the vicinity of Sluice Boxes State Park. The detour took us to about 5400 feet in the mountains and the scenery was quintessential Montana. Grassy hillsides with large groups of pines, snow-capped mountains in the background. We arrived at our campground (Dick’s RV Park) in...
