Oct 31, 2017 - Happy Halloween

Had a good night at the state park. Very nice lake. We were about 40 miles above the park. Drove thru Kansas City. There are a couple million on both sides. The highway took us right through the city. Of course it was 5 o'clock, worst time but the good news is most of the traffic was headed the other way! We got on I 40 and on to Missouri. St Joseph is a pretty nice area. We went on thru and found a quiet Walmart! It was late when we stopped. I cooked pork chops and noodles. Nice hot meal for a cold night! Oct 1, 2016 - Torrington, WY - First Day of Antelope Hunting Season in WY

(Ron Writing) This morning we left Newcastle and headed south on US-85. It was a drive through very sparsely populated ranch land with widely separated small towns. Today was the opening day of hunting season in Wyoming for pronghorn antelope. We saw several hunters as we drove south. Before today I wasn’t even aware that people hunted and ate pronghorns.
