Jun 7, 2008 - KT leaving and driving
Hi everyone, Today Kt went home. Dad woke mom and me up early so that when he left to take Kt to the airport we could pack up the camper. I ended up packing up almost everything outside (I never touch the sewer hose). Then when he comes back and starts driving, a water bottle falls off the table and he says we didn’t pack everything up (he didn’t do anything besides the sewer, water, and electrical). We drove a couple hundred miles and I just ended up playing computer games until my computer died. I put a couple of my favorite songs on my...

May 29, 2008 - Jackson Hole - Laramie

Apr 6, 2008 - Goodbye Colorado Hello Wyoming
Today we did one of our longest journeys in the coach today of over 300 miles. We travelled through a great deal of unpopulated country except dear and elk. We saw a high number of dead dear on the side of the road more than we had ever seen on our travels. After a long day we arrived in Laramie, Wyoming.

Oct 11, 2007 - Traveling
In the last two days we covered 823 miles, two big days. We usually are lucky to average 50 mph. This makes for a lot of hours of driving. Janet helped on this stretch. The first day from Baker City to Brigham UT, we encountered dust storms, not fun. The visibility sometimes was less that a quarter mile. And, the wind speeds exceeded 30 mph at times. The good news is that the wind was from behind us. This makes for quiet running, no wind noise, and better fuel mileage. The second day we crossed Wyoming; some traffic and little else. We land...

Aug 26, 2007 - More R&R, Laramie, Wyoming
We are continuing to make our way to Denver. We've stopped in Laramie, Wyoming, just more rest. We are about 50 miles from Cheyenne. The last time we were in Cheyenne, about 3 months ago, it was very cold and it snowed the night we stayed. I did more work on the coach. I put a new gauge system on the holding tanks that I really love. The install went very well. We saw some pretty western sunsets while here. Lots of cowboys and big trucks and the Univ of Wyoming is here.

Aug 9, 2007 - Laramie, WY
We said our goodbyes to Terry Bison Ranch, packed up, and headed for Laramie, only 50 miles or so down I-80. We climbed and climbed and climbed then went down, down to Laramie. Cheyenne is a little over 6000 feet and Laramie I believe is around 7000 or so. Not much happening here. The University of Wyoming is here and there's also an old federal prison where Butch Cassidy was once incarcerated. Also, the woman who checked us in said there's a bowling alley very close--she is a league bowler there. We just ate lunch and are off to scout...

Aug 1, 2007 - Laramie, Wyoming. A beautiful place.
We left Limon, Colorado early on the 26th of July. We made it to Laramie very late in the afternoon, so mostly just kicked back for the first night. We threw something together to eat and turned in. We are staying at a KOA here in Laramie too. I think this will be our last KOA. This one was priced way too high. $222.10 a week. The internet was good in this location. The people who ran it were a bit on the grumpy side and the roads in and out of this park were really in need of some repairs. Also they advertised being away from road noise....

Jul 19, 2007 - Laramie KOA, Laramie, Wyoming
Finally a chance to rest. After traveling a couple of hundred miles a day for several days in a row we were ready to stop for a few days. And to think I used to drive big rigs 500 miles plus in a day. Old age is taking it toll. Anyway, the Laramie KOA was a nice park with most of the amenities but it was backed up against I-80. It was fine as long as you stayed inside and had the TV on (loudly). But after three days, we got used to it. While we were there we caught up on supplies and did some sight seeing. We went to the Wyoming...

Jul 15, 2007 - Laramie, WY
We got up early this morning to attend a church in Monte Vista. The web said their service started at 8 AM. When we got there the sign outside said church starts at 10 AM! So we just headed out of town and continued our journey. We stopped in the next couple towns to see if we could happen upon a church that matched our schedule but that didn't work out either. We'll have to plan a little better from now on. We traveled more or less straight north today through Colorado to Wyoming. We left Monte Vista on HW 285 driving through some nice...

Jul 3, 2007 - Laramie, Wyoming
Arrived in Laramie around noon, set up and went to tour the Wyoming Territory Prison that was built in the late 1800's. Drove through the campus of the University of Wyoming and found the football stadium to take pictures. As luck would have it, there were a small group of players doing drills so that added to the picture. Tonight we are going to eat at a local steak house and do some more touring of the city. They are having a town July 4th celebration tomorrow so we want to find out where that is and the location of the fireworks tomorrow...

May 5, 2007 - Day Three
Left Brigham City, Utah at 11:30 AM MDT, filling up for to the tune of another $104.00 and that is with gas at $2.989 a gallon. At least the price is dropping. Still no snow on the ground here but the predictions for Laramie and Cheyenne are not good for tonight and that is exactly where we are headed. Hope they miss this forecast also. Wouldn't you know it. Cross the border into Wyoming and everything turned white. Except for the road, so far. Visibility isn't much because the clouds are very low so you don't have much of a view either....

Oct 13, 2004 - Denver Co. to Laramie Wyoming.
DAY 8. Wed 13th Oct. Denver to Laramie. I haven't said anything yet about the car that would be my home for the next 10 days. I picked it up at Denver airport, where the kind lady said she would upgrade from a compact as I probably was too tall for the one they had allocated me. Got a 2.5 litre, V6 Pontiac Grand Am. It meant nothing to me, but locals seemed to admire it. Apart from scratches all over the paintwork, the other really noticeable thing about it was the 2 foot long ice scraper supplied for winter use. Luckily, I was to find that...
