Jul 26, 2014 - Our day trip to Kaycee Wy.
DEWAYNE AND I HAD WATCHED THE JOHNSON COUNTY CATTLE WARS MOVIE THE PREVIOUS NIGHT TO GOING TO KAYCEE SO WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING DOWN THERE. THE HOOFPRINTS MUSEUM WAS GREAT WITH LOTS OF INFORMATION. IT WAS 5 BIG ROOMS. OUTSIDE THEY HAD A OLD SHEEP HERDERS WAGON AND OLD WAGONS. ALSO HAD THE FIRST SCHOOLHOUSE, POSTOFFICE AND JAIL IN KAYCEE. RESTAURANT ACROSS THE STREET WAS THE ORIGINAL SALOON FROM THE 1800'S. ON A CORNER LOT IN TOWN THEY HAVE MADE A BEAUTIFUL MEMORIAL TO CHRIS LEDOUX. FANCY BENCHS, BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS & BUSHS. Jun 26, 2013 - Crazy Woman Canyon and Hole in the Wall country
Another day we took the truck to explore Crazy Woman Canyon, the village of Kaycee, and the Outlaw Hole in the Wall Gang area, all south of Buffalo. We didn’t ride the bike there because much of it was on gravel and we had heard the canyon was steep as well as gravel. We made the right decision! The narrow road through Crazy Woman Canyon was blasted from the cliffs and built by the CCC. At one time in history, a narrow trail through the canyon was used by the Native Indians. Sep 9, 2008 - Hole In The Wall - Kaycee, WY
Sept. 9, 2008 We decided to shorten up our previously scheduled trip. Today we traveled only about 165 miles south to Kaycee, WY. I-25 So. was a little rough but not bad. As we were only about 30 miles south of Hardin, MT., the SNOW CAPPED PEAKS of the Big Horns Mountains came into view. At first Nancy thought she was looking at clouds, but once she realized that she really was looking at snow she wanted to know what direction I was driving. She is anxious to be headed south.
