Jun 26, 2012 - Farson, WY - On to Wyoming

(Ron Writing) We left Salt Lake City this morning heading north on I-15 to Brigham City, then northeast to Logan, UT on US-89, US-91. After stopping in Logan for gas and lunch we continued northeast on US-89 to Bear Lake. The drive from Logan to Bear Lake follows the Logan River closely through Logan Canyon. Most of the drive is through very scenic National Forest land. There are many NFS campgrounds along the route that might be very nice to spend some time at but we pressed on. At Bear Lake Summit (7,810’) there is a NFS visitor center...

Jul 22, 2010 - Hot and Windy while driving and Hot and Windy

We are suppose to be staying in Farson, Wyoming for the night, but when Charlie got behind the wheel this morning, he kept driving and driving and driving just like the Ever Ready Bunny. We passed up the trip to Flaming Gorge a national park which is in Wyoming and in Utah. We had decided that we had to see Devil's Tower in Northern Wyoming, Sturgis, The Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the Badlands, and Wall in South Dakota before we headed back to California. So with that in mind, we kept on driving!
