Oct 9, 2012 - Casper Mountain
We are having a wonderful time exploring the area with Jerry & Jared. We drove to the top of Casper Mountain situated just south of Casper. It is a 30 minute drive to the top of the mountain where you reach an elevation of 8,130 feet. We were excited to see the view of Casper from the top, but it started to snow and visibility was almost zero. :-) The ski area at the top was covered with clouds, but it was still a beautiful drive. Because of all the snow, we decided to check out the town of Casper and do more "inside" exploring. We visited...

Aug 16, 2012 - We're Off!
Well the camper is packed, the house is closed up and we're ready to go. This trip has been years in the planning so it hardly seems real that we're actually leaving, finally! We'll be stopping in Helena, MT tomorrow to visit with the Ferbers (Bill's niece and family) for a couple of days. Thanks again to everyone for your interest in this little adventure of ours and we hope it will be fun for all of us!

Jul 20, 2012 - Estes Park TO Casper, Wyoming
A word of warning ----- Estes Park, Colorado................do not take highway 34 going or coming with an RV......................take highway 36. Highway 36 has fewer curves, and has wide shoulders. I even marked on my maps......do not take highway 34 toward Estes park. It was very un-nerving. By the time we finished with highway 34 I was white knuckled. Bob mentioned this was a pretty road, ummmmmm, told him I cannot see its beauty, and was NOT having fun. So glad when we made it to the top and have a week to recup, but then the trip...

Jul 15, 2012 - Goodbye to the Crosses
Well, I passed out last night pretty early. Woke up this morning and had breakfast and then said goodbye to the Cross family. Since then? Washing my clothes at the moment so Aunt Mich and I can pack. Might go out 4 wheeling one last time, but other than that it's been quite the lazy day for all. Tomorrow we head to Denver, another 4 hours in the car, so I have my comfy clothes all picked out. We'll have dinner at Casa Bonita with Erica and Steve and then make our way to whatever hotel we happen to be staying at. Tuesday morning at 10:30...

Jul 14, 2012 - 4 Wheeling :)
Well, I woke up today and went in and had breakfast, of course I woke up late and everyone had already eaten. Aunt Mich and Mary went out driving and I was left with the men, so we went 4 wheeling. But first Uncle Bill had me drive down in the Prowler with him to get the mail. Then we got back and Floyd and Little Floyd were on one 4 wheeler, Uncle Bill and David were on another, and I took the Prowler myself. When I was with Uncle Bill I was a little skeptical and only went around 15 mph, but once on the road by myself I could pretty much...

Jul 2, 2012 - Puppy love :)
Woke up pretty late this morning and went out and had breakfast with Aunt Mich. She doesn't like my eating habits, so I had to eat a bowl of cereal along with a container of peach yogurt. Wasn't too bad, although I was stuffed. Afterwards, we decided to go and see the little golden retriever puppies which are a little ways down the mountain. We went downhill where the man was working on the house. He has soooo many dogs. He had a golden retriever couple, a little pug, and about 6 adorable golden retriever puppies. They were absolutely...

Jun 28, 2012 - Continued Day One and into Day Two on Caspar Mountain
Wow. It's been quite the eventful past 24 hours. After finishing my entry for yesterday, Aunt Mich and I got ready to go to town. Uncle Bill gave us a couple of things to get, and then Aunt Mich made up her own list. We get in the car and start meandering down the mountain. While doing so, we see a biker going UP the mountain, and she gave us a wave. As we turn the corner, we see this horse. Yes, a horse walking down a mountain. I just instantly started laughing because on the Eastern Shore you don't see horses just walking around - period....

Jun 28, 2012 - Chipmunks, Hummingbirds, and White Dogs - oh my!
After hiking today, Aunt Mich and I came home and ate lunch and watched Water for Elephants, which was so good. Especially since Robert Pattinson was in it... :) I then decided to go outside to get some pictures of the critters, and within 2 minutes of sitting very still, here comes a chipmunk running right past my feet. Captured a few pictures, couldn't believe how close the hummingbirds came to me! Other than that not much has happened today. We loaded the camper for tomorrow and we should be out of here by 10:30 a.m. Tomorrow, Friday,...

Jun 27, 2012 - Day One on Casper Mountain
After spending quite the eventful day with Mom, Grandy, Grandad, and Mrs. Kyle, I took the 3 hour flight to Denver with about 7 other U.M.'s (a shorter and easier version of Unaccompanied Minors that all of the flight attendants used). After being seated between 2 other girls around my age and 30 minutes of waiting for the other passengers to board, we finally took flight at around 5:30. The flight was boring and involved almost no turbulence, and although I would prefer looking out the window, the girl seated in the window seat refused to...
