Sep 14, 2012 - Moving south

Sept. 14, 2012 On the way out of the park we saw a Blacktailed deer (yep, black).  Stopped for a last look at volcanic mudpots, geysers, and pools. Grabbed some lunch and headed south.  Near a lake, we saw a white pelican flying around.  We went through Ashton, ID, the world's largest producer of seed potatoes.  Then, through Sugar City (sugar beets). We drove eastward toward the Palisades Reservoir on the Snake River.  We saw eagles and osprey but were shocked to see how low the reservoir was, down to 30%.  It is a beautiful area, with...
