Jun 27, 2018 - Day 20

Day 20 20180627 55 miles Day started out foggy, then cleared Kurt and Kathy took the dog and cat for a short walk since we did not want to miss saying good bye to anyone. Melissa’s family came by the site to say goodbye. Then we all watched the vacation house for signs of life while visiting. When we saw the SUV being loaded, we all headed up to say goodbye. Kurt and Kathy did a drive to find miscellaneous items needed for RV and trip home. Marty stayed back at the RV and took a nap (bum!). On the drive back, we drove through Goose Island...

Jun 26, 2018 - Day 19

Day 19 20180626 Rainy until lunchtime Kurt and Kathy took Buck and Lainey for a walk to a River Park. It was surprising how high the river level is. Lainey actually walked!! She would stop to look at blades of grass that would wave in the breeze, birds, etc. When she noticed how far away Buck was, she would start running and then bounding. After each family had their individual breakfasts, we all gathered at Kim’s site for the...

She was able to snap them back on but the shower head drips from there now. While we were sleeping, Kurt heard water dripping from the connections for the shower. He turned off the city water and switched us to pump (with the pump off...

Jun 24, 2018 - Day 17

Day 17 20180624 1030-1300 130 miles We got a late start due to policing up the common area and figuring out whose stuff was whose. With so many days with a lot of stuff happening, and no adventures, we hope the numbering is correct. Adventure #17 occurred when Kurt was hitching the truck to the 5th wheel. He figured the easiest way back on the drive was to hitch with the truck and RV at 90 degrees from each other. We had 3 male cousins, Marty and Kathy watching to make sure nothing got hit. We had to extend the “landing gear” to avoid...
