We had a great summer in Wisconsin. Our great granddaughter, Lily Lee Renner, was born on Aunt Nancy's Birthday, June 21. We spent time in Leroy with Tracy and her family, helped Karen move to Menomonnee Falls, and with Joel's family in Osceola. Solon Springs with my mother is our home base and I did not spend as much time in the garden as previous years because of everything that was going on. Sep 20, 2010 - Solon Springs, WI

We said goodbye to Solon Springs and headed for Cloquet, MN to fill up with diesel and gas. After filling up at the FDL gas station, we headed down the hill by Perkins and Joe said in a calm voice, "I think I just lost the power steering." It is a good thing we had towing insurance for the motorhome. This is the second time we had this motorhome towed.

Oct 8, 2009 - Leaving Solon Springs, WI

It is always bitter-sweet to leave Solon Springs, WI where we spend a good part of the summer with Rose's mother and family. On the day we left, the temps were in the upper 20s so it was time to get on the road again. We had one last traditional Sunday morning breakfasts with Bloody Marys at the Buckhorn Bar in Gordon. The deer had been eating the acorns in the yard and it seemed that more acorns than usual had fallen this fall. The flowers had been hit by frost so we mowed the garden. Rojoe 2009-2010

Nov 5, 2008 - Solon Springs, WI

After spending most of the summer in Milwaukee we had to go to Solon Springs to say goodbye and get all those wonderful hugs that would last until next summer. While in Solon, we voted in the 2008 presidential election, had a great election party at Rose's mother's house and then left in the snow.
