8/15 – 8/28 Eighty-two miles brought us to the Grand River Recreation Area in Potosi, Wisconsin (US12, US151, US61, SR133). This is a beautiful COE (Corp of Engineer) park along the Mississippi River. The only negative for the park is that there is a railroad crossing entering the park and the tracks are very active, must be over twenty trains blowing their whistles every day. Jun 29, 2011 - Old Man River

From 2 days back. “I’m livin’ in a van down by the river.” Chris Farley-Saturday Night Live I’m up on the Mississip., just north of Dubuque, Iowa, on the Wisconsin side. What a view from the campground! Big storms my last night in Colo, Ia. Another weather radio alert. Lightening all over the place, and wind warnings. I’m tired of rain! The land of cheese and brats.
