Jun 6, 2017 - Eastbound and Down

Well another time change has been endured. Up early and on the road by 8ish. Country side continues undulating pleasantly just so your brain doesn't go entirely off line with no changes to be seen. We still have not broken the $2/gal mark for fuel as yet but close. Through Perham, Staples, Little Falls and St. Paul before entering Wisconsin at Hudson and blowing by Altoona before landing at our present site. Park is a bit larger than last nite but clean with cable and super fast WiFi, live is good. Lots of Harleys about as we are in their...

Jul 28, 2016 - July 28 - Eau Claire WI to Osseo, WI (37 mi)

Where is Osseo Wisconsin you ask . . . Somewhere between Eau Claire and Black River Falls. Not very big, but it was just in the right place. It is one of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen. Today we toured a nearby town that sells Amish furniture and gifts, and we got to see two actual Amish...

May 28, 2008 - Osseo, WI

On Tuesday, we drove from Woodbury, MN to Osseo, WI. Along the way, we stopped in Eau Claire, WI for a run along the Chippewa River Trail; it was the friendliest place that we have run since Sunriver ... almost everyone we passed said 'hello'. Then, we drove through Mondovi, WI to see the hometown of Candy Sinow, Krista's co-worker and friend, and Woody's babysitter/girlfriend. After a day driving the greater Eau Claire area, we decided that it is the dandelion-capital of the US ... they're unbelievably prolific!
