We left Madison on Sunday, heading west on US Hwy. 18/151. We saw a sign for Little Norway, a site on the National Register of Historic Places, and decided to check it out. It featured The Norway building, a Christian Norwegian Church patterned after a 12th century Stavkirke. It was built for the Chicago World Fair 100 years ago and later moved to this site in Wisconsin. Little Norway is located about 30 miles west of Madison, WI. We agreed to take the tour and our guide, Max, explained much of the history of Little Norway and many customs...

Blessed To Travel

May 4, 2010 - Marshfield, Wisconsin

Marshfield is located in both Wood County and Marathon County, Wisconsin. As of January 1, 2008, Marshfield's population was 19,454. The Cities of Marshfield & Wisconsin Rapids of Wood County were ranked 14th in America, 3rd in the Midwest and 1st in Wisconsin as best cities to live in. Marshfield is also ranked as the 8th best "Dream City" in America. Just arrived here at 4:00 PM - staying at the county fairgrounds and meet up with a fellow RV'r I met in Gafney SC at the Freightliner school, the fairgrounds provides 50 amp electricity...

Sep 12, 2008 - The Begining - The Plan

All our life we have been in the "rat race" and chasing goals that had to be accomplished just to live and get by to the next payday. Life has been good to us but somehow it seems life was passing us by and we were caught up in living more and enjoying it less. Then about a year ago, we started talking about buying a camper and a truck. We had a camper and truck before an we loved camping. We felt some of the most enjoyable times of our life were spent in the camper. But we got caught up in chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...
