Wednesday afternoon we went to the home of one of Brian's closest high school friends, in Beloit Wisconsin. We hadn't seen Scott and his wife, Renee, since 1997, when they had two young kids and we had just had one! Beloit is located just over the border from Illinois, an hour or so from Chicago. They have an old house - just like us, and have been doing it over for about 10 years, just like us. It was fun to compare the kinds of projects we've done and what we have planned. Wylie Cross Country trip July 2011

May 19, 2011 - Update

We stopped for bit of a leg-stretch in Beloit, WI. Stopped Monday night at Scott AFB, just outside St Louis. Played tourist in St Louis before doing laundry and hitting the road on Wednesday morning. Homeless at Wal-Mart in Peru, IL. Will take our time and wonder north throuh WI to Minneapolis, stopping when we find somthing interesting. Will post again when we find wi-fi. We are still planning on being in Alaska within a month.

Aug 3, 2009 - On The Road US-90

Rise and shine! Its 9:45AM EST when we left Cleveland, Ohio. Our travels took us through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and finally we stopped in Beloit, WI around 8:15PM CST. The drive through Chicago was quicker then we expected with moving traffic and few stops! Weather was clear all the way! Nice views of Chicago Loop and we took many pictures. Today our rear bedroom AC stopped working! We decided that we would head to Forest City, IA to get it fixed. Tonight, we are staying at a Wal-Mart Super Center with 3 other RV Campers and many Truckers!...
