Today’s report is short. John and Justin go fishing. They arrive back at the house at 4:00. The fish were biting. I use the outdoor space to set up an office. I am again up to date on the computer. Fortunately, John has time to rest up before dinner. Justin does not. He is busy at the BBQ, making ribs for dinner. Dinner is wonderful. Dianna’s mom joins us. Justin and Dianna know how to entertain! Tomorrow, John and Justin are going fishing early. They say that it will be a short day on the water!

Peggy and John finish their barn work early. We all go out to breakfast. Again, the food and conversation is great. We say our good-byes. It is around 10:00 by the time we are on the road. We head to the Interstate. Our next stop is in West Virginia. We cross from Ohio into West Virginia. We cross from West Virginia into Pennsylvania. We cross from Pennsylvania into West Virginia. This is the direct route. We arrive at Justin and Dianna’s home around 2:00. Some road construction slowed us down. Justin and Dianna have a great outdoor space...

Jan 15, 2012 - Morgantown, WV Stay in Super 8
Drove from Exton, PA to Morgantown, WV. Very Rolling hills- up and down and some snow. Cold weather. Glad I am staying in a motel - the first night of this RV trip. Super 8 - pet friendly - got a room near the front door. Walked to Outback steak house and picked up my take out food. I am near alot of stores and restaurants. Perfect stop location.

Jul 31, 2011 - Driving along the Byrd
The day started off on the wrong foot. We had a pull thru site at the campground so we wouldn’t have to unhook the Fit. When we pulled out, I was following the campground map to the exit. Sue suggested that I stop and ask somebody if we were going toward the exit. I deferred and said the map clearly show the exit road, so I turned down the “exit” lane and it became immediately obvious that this was not the way to the exit. Sue asked one of the people looking on and wondering what in the hell theses people were trying to do. They confirmed...

I get to sleep in today. Justin and John go fishing on the river. They get back around noon. John had a big fish on but did not get it to the boat. No “catches” but it is a good day on the water. We go out to lunch. On the way, we see West Virginia University. Although hard to believe, I think they said football starts next weekend. We shoot pool and rest in the afternoon. Justin and Dianna cook dinner on their outside grill. We give this RV park five stars! Campground: Justin’s

Aug 29, 2010 - To Morgantown, WV
We head from Ohio to West Virginia. At first, we try the scenic route. The scenic route through the mountains can be stressful. It would have turned a three-hour drive into a five-hour drive. We drop down to route 50. This is scenic enough. We arrive at Justin’s and Dianna’s around noon. I am surprised that John remembers the way to Justin’s landscaping business. We drop off the trailer and move to his home. It is our first “warm” day in a long time. We hang out where it is cool. We shoot pool. Justin and John plan a fishing trip for...

Aug 20, 2010 - Morgantown WV
The local RV parks in Morgantown were all full and after our off road experience at Beech Fork, Wal-Mart looked like a really good alternative. They really do make RVs welcome and we reward them by leaving a good chump of our bank account. Jimmy & Susie Enoch, Barbara's stepson and his wife, had a high school reunion on Saturday so we used this time to do our chores and restock our supplies. RV travel is different in that there is no one providing food or cleaning up behind you. You really are taking your home with you. Little did I know...

Aug 5, 2010 - Still Wandering in WV
After a relaxing and fun week at Pegasus Farm Campground in Elkins, WV, we headed back out on the road to see more of this lovely state. Our first stop was Seneca Rocks in the Monongahela National Forest. I found Seneca Rocks interesting in that it caused my sense of perception to go a little off balance. As I stood at the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center, looking up at the nearly 900-feet of vertical walls, I thought, “Those don’t look so big…what’s all the fuss?” But then I saw a little speck of white and a little speck of red climbing...

Jul 27, 2010 - BEAUTIFUL
Went into town for odds and ends, like milk. Beautiful area, what a beautiful campground. Wish our Last Resort in Hanna looked like this. Read the rest of the day. Campground has a beautiful pool. But not hot enough for us to go swimming. Had to cancel the end of our trip to Starved Rock so we are spending one extra day at Turkey Run. Could not get the weekend as it is full.

Jul 26, 2010 - What A Campground Should Look Like
Very easy day no hurry. We are traveling 230 miles or so. Dan drove all the way. Looks like no cable and not able to get satellite at this campsite. Well surprise we got some TV and we were able to get the computor to work. This is what a campground should look like lots of trees and bushes. Gives you the feel of being away from everything. We will be here for two days.

Oct 7, 2009 - Morgantown, West Virginia
October 6 – Wednesday Wind, wind, wind and more wind was the name of the game for today. We drove 400 kilometers in 3 different states and it was windy most of the day rocking our units so the drivers had to pay close attention, as well as being aware of the hundreds of big trucks that were travelling the same highway (probably avoiding the toll highways like we are). We are very thankful for safety as we travelled. Most of the way was westward so we are getting closer to home. We left New Holland, Pennsylvania this morning, and driving...

Had a nice visit with Sisters and their families in Morgantown. It's been seven years since we've made the trip to WV. The first time to see some of the nieces and nephews, we even got to visit with a couple of Gayles cousins. Today we're staying just east of the WV boarder in MD to get an alignment on the rig tomorrow. Then we're on our way again.
