Well, we have finally finished everything we can with doctors and dentists. Jon still has to have the permanent crown attached to his implant, but that will have to wait until next time around (next spring – insufficient healing time now). In total, we have really had a good time during our short stay in the Olympia area. The weather has varied from cold and rainy to warm (some folks say hot, but we like mid-80s) and sunny. We have visited with friends and family and shared meals in their homes, in our motorhome, and at various restaurants...

Jul 22, 2005 - Seattle to Desert Aire

July 22, 2005 Seattle To Desert Aire Today we left Seattle, heading East for the first time in a month. We are heading for Desert Aire, which is a community on the other side of the Cascades. Joyce and Bob are building a house there, nestled close to the scenic Columbia River. What a drive! The geographic change is just incredible, in such a short distance. On the rainy side, we drove through deep pine woods, mountain peaks, Snoqualmie pass, and breathtaking scenery. Once over the mountains, we came into flat land, wind warnings, crossed...
