Sep 12, 2009 - Skookum Rendezvous, Usk, Washington

We have been up in the northeast corner of Washington state for the last two (2) weeks. We stayed in the town of Newport first and now we are a few miles outside of Usk. We are just across the state line from Idaho and right on the Pend Oreille River. It’s pronounced “Pond-E-Ray”. I know; it’s one of those French words. Places and towns up in this area are named either American Indian or French names. It is really beautiful up here. We are currently staying at the Skookum Rendezvous RV Resort. Sep 6, 2009 - Wenatchee Visit With Kurt, Qari and the Kids

We left Fort Lewis and headed over to Wenatchee to see Kurt and Qari and the kids. Kurt had just returned from Iraq in early August. We’re praying this is his last tour. Kurt was able to pick up Mitch and Rachel and they were staying in Wenatchee until September 3rd. So we got to visit will them and Seth during the two weeks we were there. While we were there, Kurt asked us if we would volunteer for the First Annual Wenatchee River Clean Up in Cashmere. We said we would be happy to serve lunch.
