Aug 11, 2011 - Day 72 - Mt. Rainier
Started out this morning for Mt. Rainier. We headed back north on HWY 82 toward Yakima. The view along the road looks very dry except for the irrigated vineyards and fruit orchards. We headed to HWY 12 to take the White Pass Scenic Byway along US12. There were signs that there was road construction with up to 2hr delays. We stopped at the forest ranger station for the Wenatchee National Forest. The ranger recommended that we take hwy 410 to avoid the construction.
