May 22, 2018 - Killing time below Little Goose Dam

I’ve managed to get way behind on my entries. Most of our time has been without Internet and sometimes without any contact with the outside world. While I had thought doing so would be difficult, it has not been. It’s like going back to a simpler time. Anyway, we spent about 10 days parked immediately below Little Goose Dam on the north shore. Mar 9, 2018 - Waiting on warm weather from the Tucannon

Yesterday Claudia and I arrived at the Tucannon RV park near Starbuck WA. We were looking for a quieter place to wait out the rest of the winter before starting to travel. We will be here for a month. This is a very nice park. It’s located next to the Tucannon River and about 4 miles from Starbuck. The sites are HUGE with a generous grass. Sites are graveled and pretty level and aligned mostly east-west so summer sun won’t hit you broadside. I tested the park’s wifi speed and it was 1.5mb. This is doable. Apr 28, 2017 - Out of Pocket

We've been here in the Snake River Valley all week and as I mentioned in my post from Sunday, we are pretty much off the communications grid at the campground (except for satellite radio). Lyons Ferry is about 35 miles from the nearest gasoline, grocery store, or any other sign of civilization. We were going to do laundry today, but there is no laundry in the RV park (unusual) so we drove to Dayton, WA, one of the closets towns and to our surprise there is no laundromat in town.
