North Cascades Trip, Sept. 8-21, 2009 Rockport, WA Howard Miller Steelhead County Park Sept. 8-9, 2009 The 140 mile drive from Lacey to Rockport was most enjoyable. We took I-5, the 405, and then exited at Arlington, driving through the small town of Darrington. There was some construction north of Darrington. There also was a school-bus delivering kids from their first day of school. It stopped about half a dozen times. Then we pulled into the Howard Miller Steelhead County Park at Rockford. It’s part of Skagit County Parks & Recreation....
