Jul 15, 2009 - Mt St Helens & Spirit Lake

Today we will be going to MT ST Helens and Spirit Lake. We were here in the spring of 2001 or the late fall of 2000, we are not sure. We are looking forward to see how the area has changed in the nearly 9 years since we were here. Before we could not go to Spirit Lake because of snow. We are returning to see & visit Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center and Johnston Ridge Observatory. The land in some places still resemble the surface of the moon. They say in the some places the ash is 600 ft deep. Rivers, lakes were destroyed, but many more...

Jul 14, 2009 - July 6 Bob's Day In Seattle With The Boats

I finally was able to download the CD, that our friend Bob in Bellingham made for us of the guys day in Seattle. They were to ride in a 33ft antique boat with a 750 horse engine. They started out, but motor had trouble running. They toured the waterfront and took these pictures. A good time was had by all. It would have been more fun if boat had run better. Jul 12, 2009 - AROUND THE LOOP

Our day started with us telling all the Evergreens what a wonderful time we had with them and thanking them for including us in their weekend. We would loved to have stayed but if we are to get home before Christmas, we need to move on. Our plan for the day is to travel the loop. The loop being Hwy 101 around the peninsula, being the Olympic National Park. It will be a long day. The mileage will be over 400 miles with all the side trips. So off we go. Our drive will be in and out of the forest that runs along the coast and along views of...

Jul 11, 2009 - A Day With Holiday Ramblers Club Members, The Evergreens

On Friday July 10, we had several errands that we needed to take care of. Bob wanted to visit Camping World in Tacoma. And I needed to replenish groceries and other things for the motorhome. After completing all of our errands, we go back to campground a different way so we could see more of the countryside. When we get back to campground, there is a card from Bob & Susan, inviting us to breakfast with the group on Saturday morning in the clubhouse. We have never been to a outing with an RV club. Of course we attended. Wagon Masters for...

Jul 9, 2009 - TRAVEL DAY

Our travel day was rather uneventful. We had to take motorhome to a tire dealer in town before we left so we could check air pressure in tires. Most places do not have enough air pressure to air the tires up. Also we took car dolly for them to look at on Tuesday. The tires are wearing too much on one side. Bob wanted their opinion about why the tires might be wearing the way they were. The traffic was awful. It took over 5 hours to travel less than 200 miles. The campground we are staying at for a few days is OUTBACK RV PARK. Centrally...
