Jul 18, 2019 - Day Four - another travel day

The start of day four. Off to Washington for the big event. We only had about 335 more miles to go. Unfortunately it was a long 335 miles. It took over 7 hours to get to Ridgefield. We hit a lot of traffic when we got into Northern Oregon. We were all ready to get out of the truck by the time we finally pulled into Tri Mountain RV Park. We stayed at this park before. Last time we had a hard time fitting into a space, even with our smaller trailer. It appears they may have reconfigured the place. The spots are still small but at least we can...

Sep 3, 2013 - Leaving Camp Berachah

Left Camp Berachah around 11:00am and arrived at the Tri-Mountain RV Park in Ridgefield, WA. We will be here for three days awaiting our arrival into our next MMAP (Mobil Missionary Assistance Progrem) project. After getting settled in we drove down to Washougal, WA and met up with our ham friend Jim Fenstermaker, K9JF. His wife Shirley had to go to an exercise class so Jim gave us a tour of his home and then we met his wife for a nice dinner at Apple Bees. Mileage: 30,575.2 ending 30,716.6

Aug 5, 2011 - Visit to Mom's

Mom was released from the hospital last night. EMS took her home and so today we headed over to help her out. She's now hooked up to oxygen full time so that was a bit weird. Helped her clean the house, and Bill sprayed her weeds, then we went shopping and had dinner of sandwiches from Safeway (side note: the Safeway deli sandwiches were VERY good) and a good buy for a sandwich, chips and soda for $5.00 Back to the Ebrahimi's to sleep. Time is running short before we leave already. Never enough time to do it all.

Aug 1, 2011 - Headed to Tacoma to visit the "in-laws"

After a short sleep, Bill headed off to get some stuff and the kids and I stayed in the RV and hung out. Bill returned, we headed to the storage / shop to get some supplies and then spent the evening with our other Zurbrugg friends. Decided to head toward Tacoma to see Bill's folks and to visit with his brother and family. Left, got about 8 miles and realized we'd forgotten some supplies to work on Popski's shop, so headed back to church. Then realized we'd gone all the way to our storage spot and forgotten the electrical supplies. So, back...

Jun 23, 2009 - Heading South

Just a short followup to our latest entry. The last four days have been spent with Jo's Sister Joann and her husband Richard. The girls were making final preparations for Mom Bruhy's memorial service to be held in Crescent City, CA the end of July. While the girls were busy with their project, Richard and I attended a gun show in the Portland area. Man, guns for everybody!!! Anything from single shot derringers to 50 Cal sniper rifles. Almost bought a 380 automatic pistol with pink pearl grips for Jo; unfortunately knowing Jo's attitude...
