Ten hours later we were in the car and driving north to Anacortes, the jumping off point for the Washington ferry that would take us to Orcas Island for a whale watching trip. The whale watching trip was schedule to leave Orcas Island at 1:25, exactly the time our ferry would be arriving. May 2, 2008 - Orcas Island, Washington

I left Vancouver on Thursday, May 1st at 8:30 dead on schedule! I got to the border and there’s over an hour wait and then, silly me, I tell immigration officer that I am traveling through the USA. So off my bike, go inside, get into line for fifteen minutes and then the third degree for another fifteen minutes. It’s very stupid really as only one kilometer to the east one can walk across! Oct 1, 2007 - Orcas Island, Washington State

Well, it's time to say "adios" to Canada, at least for a little while. We have thoroughly enjoyed our journey across this great land of ours. Canada is a celebration of diversity. It disappoints us to have passed by so many places and their people and geography that we surely would have enjoyed. I wonder how many trips like this we would need to do to cover it all? We've promised ourselves and we promise you that we'll be back for more in Spring-Summer '08. So today, we get on the International Ferry that sails from Sidney on Vancouver...
