Jul 4, 2020 - Fun 4th of July

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. We celebrated big time at the beach in Moclips. This small town goes all out for the holidays. We had three days of fireworks starting on July 2 through the 4th. Each day got a bit better with the incredible finale on the actual holiday. :-) We had a great time on the beach for hours before the last show. People were swimming all over the water, we passed with the temperature being a high of 59 degrees. We sat in our chairs and watched all the action. Everyone was doing great at distancing, most...

Jun 5, 2020 - Fun At The Beach

We walked to the beach today and had a ball. We carried chairs so we could just sit and watch the waves. We finally put our feet in the water, it was very cold. It's hard to believe people are swimming in this icy cold water but they do it daily. It is in the 50's here most of the time, we are having to wear our jackets. It is so nice being so close to the ocean, we both love it so much. We walked down the beach and picked up some pretty shells and sand dollars. We saw a lot of washed up crabs and more. I am adding a lot of pictures and...

May 19, 2020 - Much Needed Update

This is a quick update to let all our family and friends know where we are and what has been going on. We just got our Wi-Fi connected yesterday, I can finally add all the pictures to the journal. We left Sequim, Washington on the first of May and drove to the Washington Coast for the summer, or until this awful virus is over. We found a lady that had a private RV site we could rent for as long as we needed to stay. It was getting harder and harder to find RV Parks open during the virus. We were very happy to find a private site right...

May 1, 2020 - Travel Day & Beaches

We left Sequim early this morning. Our first stop was to fill the RV up with diesel at $2.59 a gallon. Our drive today was about 165 miles to the Moclips, Washington. We are right across the street from the Pacific Ocean, it is beautiful. We will be here for the summer until this awful virus is finally over. We are waiting for the beach to open in a few days on May 4th. I hope the governor of Washington does not extend the closed beach order again, we are ready to drive down the beach and enjoy. We are using our hotspot on our phone for...

Aug 23, 2006 - Texas and Back to WA

WOW, we did it. Texas and back to WA was a fun adventure. It started the day we left Aug. 10th, at the Sea-Tac airport we arrived the morning after the terroist scare in London. We stood in line for security for about 3 hours. For 13 days we were in 100 degrees are higher in TEXAS. We are now back in our RV-cabin with Mandy in Gig Harbor, WA and it is a cool 50 + degrees. In Dallas we had a great time, I enjoyed being in the MS TX SR pageant and crowning the new Queen 2006 and visiting friends from last year. We also visited with Jay,...

Jul 31, 2005 - Ocean Trip

Sunday, July 31, 2005 After getting up early and having pancakes for breakfast we left for a day adventure. We took Kerry and Kevin to Ocean Shores for the day. They watched the DVD, “Hotel Rwanda”, on the bedroom TV most of the way there. We ate lunch at the Shilo Inn and then walked on the beach. We also did some window shopping in the many shops around the main streets. On the way back Kerry and Kevin watched another DVD, “A Walk to Remember”, after playing cards for a while. We had a great day and we think they were impressed with the...
