We got to Mead around 11 am and were able to get our site right away; however, the site was very narrow, as are most sites in this park. Our personal trainer at LA Fitness in Mesa, Jamie Hines, told us to try The Onion Restaurant in Spokane. Fortunately we saw one as we were driving to the RV Park. We had another one of those "wowser" days today. We drove to the top of Mount Spokane State Park. The park is nearly 14,000-acres, 5,000 plus feet high, it has a small camping park and is the largest park owned by Washington State Parks. The park is home to wildlife such as moose, cougars, coyotes, deer, black bear and more. We had a fawn run across the road in front of us and saw several deer in the field.
