Sep 4, 2012 - Easton, WA
Tue, 04 Sep: We're back on the roll again, this time westward. We departed our lazy Priest Lake boondock spot in front of Betsy's home and started for Seattle. We'll make the 400+ miles a two day trip and we're currently about ¾ there. We got going early on a quite cool morning. The morning temperatures most of the Labor Day weekend have been in the low forties and today was no exception. We got up and ran the gas furnaces to take the chill off the interior and started stowing gear for the road trip. We'd connected the car yesterday so...

Sep 15, 2010 - Lake Easton, WA
Tue. we made the about 250 mile trip from Seaside, OR to Lake Easton, WA located on Hwy 90. The new campground is nice with a wooded feel that we haven’t had in a while. It was an uneventful trip with the GPS leading us a bit different than expected, but it all worked out and the drive through the populated areas wasn’t bad. Mark did have the misfortune of taking a diesel fuel drenching when he was filling the tanks on the motor home. If you have never been to a truck stop fueling station, you may not realize that those nozzles are much...

Aug 4, 2010 - Lake Easton, Washington
Between appointments, we spent a few days at a membership park next to Lake Easton State Park. Lake Easton is located along I-90 just a few miles east of Snoqualmie Pass in Washington’s Cascade mountain range. Our park is surrounded on three sides by the state park and there is easy access through the fence. Almost every day we explored a little in the park or just went to the lake shore to see the sun over the lake and the mountains. Running along one side of the lake is the roadbed of the defunct Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific...

Jun 7, 2010 - Elma & Lake Easton, Washington
(I am combining two stops into one update because it took two stops to come up with enough to even write about. The major highlight of these two stops was the detour we made to Portland to visit with friends.) We left the “beautiful” pacific coastal town of Ocean City in another downpour of liquid sunshine hoping that the weather would be drier and warmer 70 miles inland…….NOT! Arriving in the town of Elma, Washington on Thursday we easily found the RV park --- since the whole town of Elma is just about the RV park. Well, there are a few...
