Aug 24, 2018 - The day before the trip

It's less than 24 hours before Joy and I leave on another trip. We are going with Road Scholar to the Scandinavian capitals. Adding a day trip to Eastonia and a few days to Iceland. Should be a great trip! Just printed my boarding pass (with Paul's help) and he helped me to get organized with a little computer. I'm so thankful he's so helpful and supportive. Have been looking through my photos of when I went to Norway with my mom and her sisters (grace, Lillian, olive and ardis) 26 June to 10 July 1983. Have been looking through photos and...

Sep 27, 2009 - Preparing for the Trip

I am preparing to retire from 20 years of military service in the United States Army. My last duty station is Fort Lewis, Washington. My family and I are planning a trip from here to my parents house in Tennessee. We are travelling in a 30 foot SunnyBrook Brookside fifth wheel. Everyone on the trip includes myself, my wife Kimberly, my oldest daughter Jessica, and my youngest daughter Nicole. We also have three dogs and a guinea pig. This is going to be an exciting adventure as the two highlights of the trip are a week at the Grand Canyon...

Oct 15, 2008 - Mt. Rainier

Mt. Rainier View Adult RV Park, Graham, WA Okay, so the word "adult" in the name of this RV park gave us the creeps, too. No one under 55 is allowed to stay here, so it's dullsville with a capital "D." But the view of Mt. Rainier from our living room window is spectacular--when the clouds are not in the way, which is apparently quite often this time of year.

Jun 21, 2008 - A Baby Shower for Noelle

Art’s younger brother, Ron, lives in Graham, WA (near Puyallup) with his wife Misty. Today they were having a Barbeque/Baby Shower for Misty’s daughter, Noelle, and we were invited to join the party. And what a party it was! We saw familiar faces from our last visit to Ron and Misty’s (her kids, sisters and mom) and we met some new people, too. The baby has already been named even though he is not yet here….Rhiley James O’Brien. Such a nice name! I won’t go into detail about the food except to say that it was delicious and plentiful! Ron...

Sep 30, 2007 - On the road again!!

Today we left Graham and headed out for.....Centralia....ok, so it wasn't a big trip, but we had to start somewhere. We wanted to make sure the new 5th wheel traveled ok and all our stuff stayed put! Actually, we went to Midway RV park in Centralia to visit with Cathy and Geof (dear friends from Thousand Trails) before we headed south. Had a nice visit, caught up on some gossip and talked about "stuff". Oh did I mention the rain???
