Read and rate Travel Journal Entries for Ephrata, Washington, United States

Apr 28, 2013 - 9th District Conference

Up early again today. We zonked-out last night. We took another chance on breakfast at the hotel this morning. It was hot at least. The drive to Ephrata went well. The weather was nice. It was fun to see the countryside between Ritzville and Moses Lake since we had not been on that section of freeway since we moved from Moses Lake to Grandview in 1972. It sure has changed along that route. I dropped Nancy off of Jeanette and Darrell's house in Ephrata so she could visit granddaughter Rosie. I headed across town to the Ephrata Post. The...

Aug 20, 2010 - Ephrata WA, Stars & Stripes RV Park

We left Everett as planned on August 20 with only one hitch (pun intended). Gene and Sylvia Mares gave us the license plate frames that Dave is holding. Dave wants to put them on the truck and RV, but Kathi doesn't think that is such a good idea. They read "Happiness is...breaking wind". Dave drove like a gentlemen and was rewarded with 9.9 mpg. Sep 12, 2008 - Ephrata, WA - Tour of Grand Coulee Dam

(Ron Writing) This morning we went back to the Grand Coulee Dam visitors center to finish looking at the exhibits and view two movies we didn’t have time to watch last night. Both the movies and the exhibits are very worthwhile. This afternoon we took a tour of the newest of the three power generating plants at the dam. The original dam had a power plant on either side of the spillway. Then in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s the dam was extended at almost a right angle along the east side of the canyon and a new power plant was added with...
