Aug 27, 2012 - Bear Lake County Park

Our first stop of the day was at one of the roadside trucks selling Gala apples and Bartlett pears. We saw so many of them on the trees in central Washington, but they were not ripe. Now we are seeing them everywhere. Jerry got five pounds of mixed apples and pears for only $4.00, they are awesome, fresh picked off the trees. May 23, 2012 - Spokane RV Resort, Deer Park, WA

We left Hood Park the morning of May 23rd and headed northeast on US395 a distance of 150 miles to a little town called Deer Park which is 14 miles north of Spokane, WA. We had reservations at Spokane RV Resort for 3 nights. This is a fairly new development of upscale homes, golf club and RV Park. All of the RV lots are for sale and the ones not sold yet are rented out for overnight stays. This was a very nice place to stay. Sep 13, 2011 - Deer Park, WA

We were in Deer Park, WA to visit our friends Nancy Dimick and her daughter Mary who live in Newport, WA. Nancy worked for years at College of the Redwoods in Eureka and was our neighbor in Carlotta, CA. Nancy was also instrumental in injecting Betty with the 'iris virus'. Deer park is a suburb of Spokane, WA; it is a very beautiful area but the winters are very harsh. Nancy and Mary were very gracious hosts and Mary took sympathy on Betty and treated us to a couple of delicious home cooked meals. Bill is always open to an alternative to...

Sep 8, 2009 - Coram, MT to Deer Park, WA

Traveling with Carol, Lou & Beau .......... We left Coram about 20 minutes late - it was 9:20 a.m. - not bad. We knew it was a 256-mile trip. We noticed so many small crosses up on small metal poles along Route 2 that I thought probably showed previous fatalities. We never saw as many as we did on a lot of the curves as we drove along. Unbelievable! Montana lakes were quite large, along Rte. 2. One large waterway was the Libby Dam. The waters continue to be clear, seeing the bottoms - amazing! Jun 17, 2009 - Uneventful but bumpy drive to Spokane

. Bump, bump, bump…shake, shake, shake…rattle, rattle, rattle…this was our westbound drive on I-90 in a nutshell!! We left Missoula at about 8 AM this morning and arrived at our next destination in Deer Park, WA at about 1 PM after a rather uneventful journey. We traveled under mostly cloudy skies but had very little rainfall until after our arrival. The temperature was from the mid 60’s to low 70’s and we encountered very little wind. Apr 29, 2008 - Deer Park, WA

Sunday afternoon, we drove from the Tri-Cities, WA to north of Spokane, WA. We spent a couple of nights in Deer Park at a really nice RV park right on the golf course. We played 9 holes on Monday – we lucked out on the weather because it was sunny with temperatures in the high 60’s. We spent most of Tuesday checking out Spokane ... Gonzaga's campus, Riverfront Park, etc. We visited the very eloquent Davenport Hotel, but Frank's Diner (with Hucklebarry shakes) was much more our style.
