Sep 30, 2007 - Ann's Parents house in Chewelah

We left Anaconda yesterday and spent last night in a free campground behind a 'Casino' at the Montana/Idaho border. We had actually planned on doing a little gambling - that dollar I had won in Deadwood was burning a hole in my pocket. The casino turned out to be a very large tacky gift shop, a cafe/bar and about 10 very old slot machines!! Needless to say that dollar is still in my pocket. We are now at my parents home in Chewelah, Washington and will be here all week. We plan on spending some time at the lot we purchased here two years...

Jul 7, 2006 - Chewelah, Washington

We have arrived at our destination; my parents house in Chewelah, Washington. This is a small town of 2200 that is located about 1 hour north of the City of Spokane. We are 'camping' in their yard So far we have been to a local festival ,, gone wine tasting at the local winery (located about 40 miles from the closest town) , we've picked cherries and helped out in my mothers garden . I've learned how to make jam and gravy (from scratch). We will be here until they kick us out!!!! We'll keep you updated............
