Aug 13, 2013 - Twas the Night before leaving Chewelah

Debbie and I have accomplished much here at Chewelah Washington. New fifth wheel pin box for reducing that jerky ride of pulling 14000 lbs down the road and more weight if you include the truck. We have explored, we have relaxed and both agreed this is a place we want to come back to next summer. I have found the people here to be very friendly and helpful, an adult crowd that enjoys a cold adult beverage, golf, and relaxing. I would have to say a real hidden gem. Today after golf I bought myself a logoed golf shirt to remember my stay...

Aug 6, 2013 - Chewelah Rv Golf and Country Club

Better late than never, sorry but we have been busy, on the road with a few stories to tell. We spent 13 days with Jerry and Diane Lee at the Thunder RV Park in Monroe Washington. We used that time to visit with my Nephew Tom and his wife Christy, as well as help my brother Curly celebrate his 80th birthday. Happy Birthday again Curley. We loaded up said our goodbyes...

Just as we pulled onto the ramp to enter the freeway I caught sight of a large bird’s nest on top of pole. Roy pulled off to the side and we all got out to get pictures. There was one head in the nest and another on a different pole nearby. Whomever was sitting in...

Sep 30, 2007 - Ann's Parents house in Chewelah

We left Anaconda yesterday and spent last night in a free campground behind a 'Casino' at the Montana/Idaho border. We had actually planned on doing a little gambling - that dollar I had won in Deadwood was burning a hole in my pocket. The casino turned out to be a very large tacky gift shop, a cafe/bar and about 10 very old slot machines!! Needless to say that dollar is still in my pocket. We are now at my parents home in Chewelah, Washington and will be here all week. We plan on spending some time at the lot we purchased here two years...
