Jul 1, 2011 - Trippin' in the San Juans

This morning we drove to Anacortes, WA and caught the ferry to the San Juan Islands. We disembarked at a small village called Friday Harbor. The mountains were very clear on the trip over and back making for some good photos. We had fish and chips for lunch sitting outside under an umbrella overlooking the harbor. We walked all over the town. It is a pleasant place but not nearly as nice or picturesque as Coupeville or Port Townsend. When we arrived back at Anacortes, we stopped so I could do 4 loads of laundry and then ate at the Pizza...

Jun 30, 2011 - Deception Pass Bridge and Coupeville, WA

We left early this morning and headed down Whidbey Island. Stopped at Deception Pass to take photos at the magnificent two section bridge. The scenery is spectacular at the bridge and all over the island. We ventured on past Oak Harbor and stopped for the day at Coupeville, Wa., a little waterfront village. Flowers were everywhere-I've never seen so much color. We enjoyed walking all over the town taking photos of the historical era homes and the flowers. Jun 29, 2011 - Traveling again

Overcast all day and raining a little this afternoon. The part for the coach came in early this morning and we were off and on our way by 9:30 this morning. We headed north and stopped for lunch at a little Mexican restaurant along the way. We both had taco salad that was very good. I fixed broccoli chicken alfredo tonight and added some red beans to it. Russell had fresh strawberries with whipped cream for dessert. I opted for coffee for dessert with my flavored creamer. We walked over to the beach at the park and took a few photos. A...
