Sep 11, 2012 - New truck tires/Babysit Max

Today I had to get truck tires installed on the truck and dad volunteered to come with me in Everett 45 minutes away. Heather worked today so Mom volunteered to babysit. Took awhile to get the tires done and I killed time at Hobby Lobby while dad hung out in the tire shop. We also checked around town after to know where our Boeing tour is tomorrow. Mom was very glad when we returned at 1pm since Max was a little fussy this morning. He was better after his afternoon nap. We were pretty hungry by 7pm by the time Heather and Clay returned so...

Sep 9, 2012 - Arlington/Visit Heather, Clay, and baby Max

Spent the morning packing and weighing boxes so they would be ready for the trip home when we return to the RV. We did not have room for suitcases so we had to use packing boxes and keep each under 50 pounds. They got a really good frequent flyer deal that includes 2 free bags each. Also had to steam clean carpet so it had plenty of drying time while we were gone. After lunch we headed the 2 hours north to Arlington to see Heather and Clay and 13 month old Max. I had not met him yet and Grandpa and Grandma had not seen their great since the...

May 23, 2012 - Day 2

All right, I left the Silver Reef Casino around noon and headed down the I5 (interstate highway) to Arlington, Washington. It's about 1 1/2 hours down the road. Why did I choose Arlington? Well it's where the Angel of the Winds casino is. And why did I choose the Angel of the Winds? Well, because all casinos in this neck of the woods offer either free parking for RVs (and trailerers - we don't really have a short name) or if they have electrical plug-ins then they charge a small price. I decided to go with electricity today rather than...

Dec 4, 2011 - And so it begins

Camping world in Burlington is our first stop ,and see if they have one of those fancy trailer stretchers. Even though our new rig is 2 ft longer , it's still about 2 feet shorter "cause the stuff won't fit!" We used to get it all in a car trunk with the tent at one time. Today it's a short run to the Angel of the Winds casino just north of Marysville. This was a nice place , they gave us $15 cash and $5 off dinner coupon. Cheap camping @$15 with Elec . Played for a few hours on their dime . Morning got us the $4 each breakfast , I have...

May 18, 2009 - May 15th & 16th

May 15 & 16, 2009 The plan is to take the 400 plus mile Cascade loop. The first leg took us south east. The weather is greatly improved now that we are on the leeward side of the Cascades. The mountains morphed into rolling grass covered hillocks. The green is quickly turning brown, indicative of a drier climate. Vineyards, apple orchards and ranches took the place of forest lands. The eastern side of the loop is at Chelan Lake, a 50 mile summer vacation spot. The northern return loop was dramatically different than the southern. The...

Sep 30, 2007 - Getting Started

We started our trip after selling our home in Arlington, WA. We left on Aug. 23 and headed to Camping World where we stayed for the night while we had some work done on our motor home. Then we headed for La Conner WA. We stayed at 1000 Trials. We wanted to see what they had to offer. Nice place, but decided not to purchase a membership. We spent 3 nights there then headed up to Birch Bay. We stayed at K&M club for 3 nights, also attended a seminar but did not like the park. We were packed in like sardines. No privacy at all. After that we...
