Feb 17, 2010 - Back to Algona

We’re on the move again, heading back down to good friends, Colleen & Wade’s place in Algona. We finally got a chance to get a couple good shots of Mt Baker today on our way out. The last couple days, she seemed to be camera shy and was hiding behind low clouds, but today, we were able to get a couple good ones. We got into Algona, just ahead of Colleen coming home from work, perfect timing! Colleen had a great Chicken dinner planned for us tonight, then it was Olympic pictures and Olympic action on the TV.

Feb 9, 2010 - Laundry Day

Because we were at Colleen and Wade’s we didn’t use our washer/dryer, so today was reserved to hit the laundry mat and get all our clothes washed up before we headed to Canada. It is so hard to believe that the Winter Olympics is in just a few days. We plan on leaving tomorrow and heading up to Blaine, WA which one of the border crossings between Washington and British Columbia, Canada, then cross over on Thursday. Tonight, we had dinner with our wonderful host, and then we had some unexpected (at least unexpected to us) guest. Colleen and...

Feb 7, 2010 - Super Bowl Sunday

First, Happy 14th Birthday to our niece, Charity. My goodness, if she’s 14, that means Mom, Debi’s sister is getting old! (love ya Jo!) Okay, well Today is Super bowl Sunday, and the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints will be battling it out in Miami in Super Bowl 44. Scott made up a pot of Chili, as he often does for Super Bowl. We had leftovers from last night to enjoy also. Debi was rooting for the Colts, while Scott, Wade and Colleen were cheering the Saints. The Colts started out great, but the Saints pulled it out in the...

Feb 6, 2010 - Long Time, No See

Scott and Wade started out the day, Jeeping. They headed out and hit the back hills outside of Black Diamond. Scott really enjoy himself. Colleen had arranged for a few of her & Debi’s classmates to get together for drinks and memory sharing Saturday evening. First to arrive was Mom Roth, who was a 2nd mom to all of us girls, except, of course, to her 2 daughters. Her daughter, Shannon, was the next to arrive. It has been 20 years since the 3 of us girls had been together, what a time we had, reminiscing about all the fun they had when the...

Feb 4, 2010 - On the Road again

We got moving around 10:30am or so this morning and got the trailer packed up and headed down to Algona. The weather has been great, and today is no exception, of course, do remember we are in the Pacific Northwest and it can rain 300+ days a year. It took us a few attempts to back the trailer into Colleen’s driveway, but once we were in the driveway, it was a very easy back up. Their gravel driveway was very level, and they had even made sure that electricity was in just the right place. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! Colleen, and...
