Jun 2, 2013 - Over the Mountains We Came

Left West Virginia in the rain and set up a one night camp in Virginia in even more rain. The only dry member of this group of Gypsy's is Destiny. Had very little rain on the drive and it was green the whole trip, but one expects beauty when entering Virginia. Linda caught some pics while we were rolling along. GPS took us on one 50+ mile section up and down and through the woods where Gramma and a very few others had their houses. Great to see where the real Virginians live. Off to Tidewater tomorrow and to Stingrays for some meal on...

Jul 13, 2011 - The Big Red Shoe

Yesterday, we arrived at Paradise Lake Family Campground in Spout Springs, VA about 12 miles east of Lynchburg. What a let down. It's by far the worst place we've stayed. No WiFI, bad cell phone coverage, 2 stations on the TV, no satellite TV, and the pool is closed. It's cheap and it's centrally located to what we want to see in the area. We're stuck here at least until our mail arrives as I’ve arranged for it to be forwarded here. We drove into Lynchburg for dinner last night. We ate at the Shoemakers Grille.
