Apr 10, 2011 - Traveling to Sanford Va.

Another really great travel day. We left Cape Hatteras this morning about 8:00 and had a great drive north through the Outer Banks and eventually into Virginia and across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. We arrived at Tall Pines Campground in Sanford, Va about 2:00. This place is really nice. I would say it is not that old of a place and the sites are really set up nicely. We rode our bikes around some and it goes all the way down to the bay. Maybe I will get to do some fishing.Penny said she would post pics of the campground tomorrow. While...

Oct 24, 2010 - to Sanford VA; 11/92

101024- Today we went across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. We ate on the water at Chincoteague and are camped a little south at Tall Pines Campground, in Sanford VA. We started at 51827 miles and ended at 52005 miles for a total today of 178 miles.
