We left Charlotte this morning heading for Virginia traveling up Hwy 160 to I-485 to I-77 stopping at Camping World in Statesville to buy a hub cap for the camper. We had lost it in route to Charlotte last week. Next stop was the Welcome Station in Virginia and then to McDonalds for lunch. Traveling on I-81 we are spending the night at Sportsman Campground in Radford, VA on site # 21 at $14 per night. The campground is located on the New River. Jan 4, 2008 - Day 2 and 350 miles

We left this morning at 8:30 in a crisp 20 degrees. It was a beautiful drive down route 81. My back held at for about 4 hours, so I took myself to the couch to lay down for a half hour. Russ always stops at least twice and since we don't have a dog to walk, we walked each other. Ha. We were going to stop over at ta WalMart tonight but it's too cold and we wanted electric for the blanket.
