Oct 22, 2006 - Onto the Skyline Drive in Virginia
A spectacular fall day to hit the Skyline Drive south from Front Royal, VA. The views were amazing and the temperature in the 60s as we climbed to around 3500 feet. The motor home moves along smoothly. Not so for Chris in a few areas where her knuckles turned white while gripping the "chicken" handle when looking waaaayyy down into the valleys. Many photos were taken and Chris is making an attempt to make use of the terrific Adobe program (a retirement gift from Holly at Maine Standards) to transfer, edit and create albums. We spent the...

Aug 26, 2005 - KATRINA
The stormy weather will cause a slight manouvering tactic. We are in Ford Virginia at my brothers home. We will leave for Fayetteville on Saturday and stay Sat. and Sun. nights. If the storm goes inland, we will head for Jacksonville on Monday, and on to Pensacola on Tuesday. Gasoline may be an issue as we cross Florida, as I'm told that the gas barges will stop for the storm and cause a shortage. We WILL be in Pensacola by Wednesday. Philadelphia was a nightmare to try to drive in, so we will try the Liberty Bell some other time....
