Today, we continue south on I81. Those who know how we travel may be surprised that we are using the Interstate. We often use it at the beginning of our trips. Just think of I81 as the Pennsylvania Turnpike. We drive for fifty minutes and then stop in Staunton, Virginia. The GPS tells us of a Virginia Artisan stop. We wander around but it does not exist. We continue to the Virginia Made store. The proprietor confirms that the Artisan place has been closed for quite some time. We make some purchases at “Virginia” Made. Sep 28, 2015 - Still No Sunshine!
We drove across Virginia through the rain on mostly two lane roads, and were very happy to set up camp for the night north of Roanoke. The campground is nice and we had a level site which again is important until we get our jacks replaced, and at our request one of the few sites from which we could get satellite reception. With the Fedex Cup Finals on this weekend we wanted to be able to record the golf if we weren’t at home. Looking at the weather forecast we figured we would need some entertainment.
