Up at 4:30 AM and make breakfast. Ella arrives at 5:15 and taxi at 5:45 so none for her. We head off to the airport without any troubles. Flight to Charlotte was uneventful. Have two mojitos across from the gate (around 8:00 AM). Then the flight to Nassau – beautiful sea and sky.

Oct 27, 2007 - Ashland/Lynchburg

Herb flew back to Calgary on Thursday. Today we drove to Lynchburg from Ashland to hear the Crist Family sing at a fund raiser for a childrens group home. The Crist family are related to Al & Arlene. Their daughter-n-law Becky, Dale's wife, is a sister to 2 of this groups members. We really enjoyed this evening even though it was a 2 hour drive both ways.

Oct 17, 2007 - Visiting the Fishers

Wednesday, Oct 17, 2007 The TVA campground was so pleasant that we hated to leave this morning, but the Silver Spring move calleth. As we headed north in VA on I-81, it occurred to us that our Titanium friends, Warren & Barbara Fisher, had moved somewhere near Roanoke last spring. So, we gave them a call and arranged to meet them and visit for a couple of hours. We hadn't seen them for a year, not since the Habitat for Humanity build last October in Bay St. Louis, MS. After visiting with them at a Denny's in Salem, we drove to the Thousand...

Two cousins (one Fred's and one of mine) live near Lynchburg, so we get a double whammy visit when we go there! This time we joined our families and had a great time all together. We parked at the farm of Fred's cousin Segrid and her husband Warren. Victoria (11) was the only child at home. We also visited my cousin Ron and Dana his wife and their daughter, Ryien (5)- also they have one of Boo's puppies- "Zell."

Jun 28, 2007 - Lynchburg, VA

After some trial runs camping in Chattahoochee, then in DeFuniak Springs with Bill and Michelle and boys, we headed back to Jacksonville to pack the rig. We returned to Thomasville for an extended visit and then left for Virginia by way of Forsyth, GA, Anderson, SC, and Winston-Salem, NC. Lynchburg, VA is close to Kay's uncle and cousins in the Staunton-Stuarts Draft-Waynesboro area. While there we had a great time visiting with family, camping with cousin Scott and his wife Nancy, and seeing some of the many attractions in this beautiful...

Jul 5, 2006 - Gordonsville to Otter Creek

We decided to turn back SW to the Lynchburg area to visit Steve, Tanya and Shelby, who were our neighbors in Maui for a couple of years, and they recently moved to Lynchburg. Our decision was also based on the fact that the DC area has been hard hit by some very bad storms recently and some areas were still without electricity, etc. So we figured we'd give them more time to dry out before heading that way. There aren't any campgrounds close to where we actually want to go, so we chose to try the Otter Creek National Park campsite along the...
