Lane and I had a wonderful morning in DC. We met a good friend of Lane's at the Regan building, where he works and had lunch there. After lunch we headed to his house to drop off our stuff and then we went to Harper's Ferry with Dave and his boys. Harper's Ferry is a historic town that is really neat! We had to taste test the homemade ice cream at one of the shops! We had a great visit with old friends!

Jul 6, 2008 - Country Living in Virginia and Maryland (by Kathy, with Bonnie's help)

For all of you parental types out there, first we should say that Bonnie and I are safely and happily staying with Barbara and Mort Libarkin in Lovettesville, Virginia. Before Bonnie arrived, I (Kathy) moved in with the Libarkins on July 1, after I moved out of my house in Montgomery Village, MD. The Libarkins live on 6 acres of land in Lovettesville, Virginia, in a historical pre-Civil War Quaker house in a rural area about 1 ½ hours from DC.
