I am sitting here in the dulles airport 35 mins before I board for the first stop on my world trip...Iceland or what I have been calling it for the last few days, Icetown.  So I have been out of work for the last 7 weeks and it has been pretty boring unless you count all the cool stuff I have be doing. The trip to NYC with Nikki T, the great hiking adventure that was Sugarloaf, hanging with all my friends from my previous job and all my friends from my home town, Walkersville, Maryland. May 22, 2010 - Leaving Virginia After Almost 40 Years

2010, 05/22 (Herndon, VA) On Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 7:15pm we pulled out of our driveway and officially began our life as full timers on the road. The shot of our driveway, in February, is a subtle reminder of why we left Virginia (no more shoveling snow for us!). We spent the next few days at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston as we made our final goodbyes to friends. Sep 25, 2008 - Enjoying time in Herndon, Virginia with the Hollis family

September 25, 2008 We drove to Heidi’s traveling through Tenn., Smokey Mountain National Park and up the Blue ridge Parkway. We arrived Thursday afternoon in time for supper, and spent the next week having fun with Heidi, Mark and the grand kids. Because Heidi home schools she was able to adjust the kid’s school work so that they would have more time to spend with us. We went on a field trip to Cox farms with one of Heidi’s friends.
