Itinerary for the day - Booker T Washington, Home Depot/Lowes, Wal-Mart. We left the RV early as it is nearly 50 miles to Hardy, the birthplace of Booker T Washington. Beautiful drive through the Virginia countryside. Booker was born a slave in 1856 on the Burrough's tobacco plantation. His mother was the cook and his father was a white man from a neighboring farm.
