2018-04-30.New Friends Just a note about some new friends we met while camping at the Chesapeake Thousand Trails campground. Carla Aguilar and LaMont King were camped several sites away from us in their new travel trailer. We struck up a conversation and the next thing you know, we were spending each evening by their campfire with their sweet dog, Kim, a Belgian Malinois. We also met their friend Dolly. Sep 23, 2015 - A Short Trip, but Not Much Fun

Since we got a late start after dealing with the jack repair, we only planned to drive about 100 miles but were told by the campground owner to be sure to get there before dark as they don’t park anyone after dark. It didn’t occur to us this would be a problem as it was only 3:00 when we left and our GPS said we should be there by 5:30. We didn’t quite take into account the traffic in southern Maryland, heading into Virginia, at that hour of the day. May 7, 2008 - VA, Colonial Beach Alexander Graham Bell House

From time to time in my travels you run across somebody who seems to love what they are doing in life. Today I visited The Bell House in Colonial Beach, VA. Home is now owned by one Anne Bolin who is a delight to talk to and has done some research on A G Bell and the Bell family. Jack Cornette and I knocked on the door and asked if we could look around and Ms Bolin was very helpful in sharing her knowledge of A G Bell. It was a delight to meet her and see this home.
