Oct 15, 2007 - Ft. Pickett, VA.
Ft. Pickett RV Park. Cost - $11. Huge, old growth pine trees covered the park and the grounds were closely mowed and well tended. The park was graveyard quiet and very peaceful. The Post is still active with Army Nat.Guard military training on-going. It looks right out of WWII. Long, narrow, white wooden buildings everywhere & soldiers humping it along the roads. We would definitely consider coming back for a longer stay sometime. We couldn't this time because we had reservations at Ft. Monroe.Jump to full entry
