Oct 13, 2012 - Home Sweet Home!

Another beautiful day! We left Pine Grove, PA at 1:15pm and arrived home just about three hours later. Ray and Cindy are on their way back to Florida, after some rather tense moments this morning when their front airbags, which when inflated raise the motorhome to the proper ride height, would not inflate. Eventually they did inflate, but Ray was not a happy camper - he wanted to get an early start and this ate up some valuable time. My own non-technical explanation is that I think the airbags were protesting the cold 23-degree weather this...

Oct 22, 2011 - HOME!!! The final update :(

We left the worst, muddiest and one of the most expensive campgrounds we've ever stayed at around 11:30 this morning. Dan turned the refrigerator on last night to give it time to get cold, and, of course, this morning it wasn’t working and the error code that showed was not one that was listed in the manual ("NO CO"). So we packed all our food in coolers and figured we’d fix the problem when we got to our first stop. Along the way I looked up the error code on the internet and got step-by-step instructions on how to fix the...

Mar 26, 2010 - Packing is not fun

OK - it's only 11:30 and I think we're packed, other than the list of things to do in the morning. Ian looked at me today and said "I can't believe we're going to South Africa tomorrow". I responded, neither could I. Kayla's our best packer so we used her packing list trying to remember what shirt we had where and when we would put them on and it finally got down to - "Mom, could you just let me know in the morning what we're doing so I can figure out what to take"? I have to admit that I'll probably be more excited when I'm on the plane...
